Until now, your shot at a nomination rested entirely on your community putting your name forward. Starting today, you can apply for yourself!
Applications for The Streamer Awards 2026 are now open at thestreamerawards.com, and for the first time ever, any creator can apply to be considered in the categories they’ve streamed the most.
Here’s how it works:
Apply for yourself, in minutes
Sign in with your Twitch account, open the application flow, and make your case. You choose the categories, you pick the clips, you tell the panel why 2026 was your year.
| Your name, your way. | Set the exact display name for the show, upload your photo, and even record how your name is pronounced, so if you’re on the big stage it’s said right. |
| Pick your categories. | Every category shows exactly what it means and what it takes to qualify, so you can commit with confidence. |
| Bring the receipts. | Attach a clip for each category and tell the panel why you deserve to win. |
And here’s the part people miss the most: the eligibility window runs through October 1st, 2026, which means content you’re still planning counts. Got your biggest event of the year coming up? Apply now and tell us about it.
Nominations are for everyone
Not applying this year? You still decide who’s in the room. When the nomination phase opens on September 12th, 2026, the community decides who they think deserves a chance. No forms, no hoops, just your picks.
After nominations close, the community’s top picks fill each category, with the industry panel adding one nominee per category. When voting opens on October 16th, 2026, the community vote drives 70% of the final result, with the panel accounting for the remaining 30%, so your voice still holds the most power.
Nominees are in control
One more thing that’s new: nominees no longer chase anyone down over email to fix a clip or an outdated photo. If you’re nominated, the site tells you the moment you visit, and you can update your name, your photo, and the exact clip that plays during the show and on the website, right from your dashboard, any time before the broadcast.

- Applications: open today until October 2nd, 2026.
- Nominations: open September 12th, 2026 to October 2nd, 2026.
- Voting: open October 16th, 2026 to October 31st, 2026.

- The Streamer Awards 2026 - The Show: November 12th, 2026 at 5:30PM Pacific.
