Pokémon Chat Badges Are Now on Twitch!
Your favorite Pokémon are here on Twitch in Badge form, and you can start collecting them today!
As of August 24, we’ve launched official Pokémon Chat Badges, an ongoing collectible experience built in partnership with The Pokémon Company International. Watch Pokémon, Just Chatting, DJs, Sports, Music, or Art streams to grow your collection and show off your badges in every chat on Twitch.
How It Works
Qualifying Content. Channels streaming in any Pokémon category or in the Just Chatting, DJs, Sports, Music, or Art categories.
Pichu for everyone. Visit any channel streaming in a qualifying category during the offer period. You’ll then immediately receive your first free Poké Ball, which will reveal a Pichu chat badge after watching 20 minutes in any of those categories a day for 3 days.
Grow your collection. Subscribe or gift subs to a channel streaming in a qualifying category (any Pokémon, Just Chatting, DJs, Sports, Music, or Art) during the offer period to earn a Poké Ball. After watching qualifying content for the required time, each Poké Ball will reveal one of three Kanto first partner Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. With 3 subscriptions, you’re guaranteed to collect all three.
Evolutions are coming. Badges for Pichu and these first partner’s evolutionary lines are coming in the future and earned badge will evolve just from watching more qualifying content. Be sure to collect these badges today, otherwise you won’t be able to earn the evolved badge later!
Watch to earn. Each Poké Ball requires watching 20 minutes per day for 3 days in a qualifying category to unlock and reveal the Chat Badge. Days don’t need to be consecutive, and your progress tracks automatically.
When. Pichu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle Chat Badges can be earned through Oct. 1st. Grab them before they are gone so you can be sure to get their evolutions later!
Track everything. A new Collections feature shows every badge you’ve earned and every Pokémon still available. Watch your Collection fill up over time.

Don’t miss the exclusive PokémonXP Costumed Pikachu Chat Badge which can be earned by watching 60 minutes on /PokémonXP or the 2026 Pokémon World Championships Costumed Pikachu Chat Badge that you can earn by watching 60 minutes of content on any of these channels: twitch.tv/pokemon, twitch.tv/pokemonTCG, twitch.tv/pokemonGO, or twitch.tv/pokemonUNITE. Only available during PXP & Worlds from 8/28 to 8/30 so don’t miss it!
More Chat Badges to collect. New Pokémon Chat Badges will appear and rotate in soon. If you don’t collect these current badges during their window, they’ll escape! So be sure to grab them while you can. Equip them and show them off during PokémonXP & the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, starting 8/28!

Each Pokéball contains a different chat badge reward, and three qualifying purchases will earn the user all three. Twitch reserves the right to modify or cancel this offer at any time.
