Host your own NYE house party on Twitch

2020 is finally coming to a close, yes finally, with more people than any time imaginable ready to celebrate the clock ticking down to 2021. And it’s an especially big moment for creators who have helped your communities get through it all with awesome streams on the regular when nothing this year was regular. So, of course, on NYE there’s going to be a lot of parties popping off on Twitch. And we’re going to bring them all together with your help.

On Dec. 31st 9:30pm-4am EST (6:30pm-1am PST) creators are encouraged to host NYE house parties on Twitch, letting viewers party hop across communities, categories, and time zones for a combined mega celebration. We are encouraging viewers to party hop and celebrate in all the North American time zones, meeting new creators and friends along the way.

In order to host your own NYE house party, here’s what we have for you:

  • We recommend the ‘Pop Champ’ playlist on Twitch Soundtrack as your NYE house parties playlist Download Soundtrack
  • NYE house parties bug and countdown skin (be sure to include your favorite countdown clock in your OBS) - Download GFX
  • The “Special Events” category allows you to be discovered by party hoppers and by the front-page-carousel programmers
  • A co-streamable clean feed of the Times Square ball drop (live on EST and re-run for other time zones) gives you a great way to rally your community (feed is available all night, 10 minutes before midnight is when it gets good) How to co-stream | Times Square Ball Cam
  • House party graphic for you to share on your social media feed. We recommend an invitation and brief description about what you’ll be doing to celebrate: “You’re invited to my NYE house party on Twitch. Let’s make our 2021 resolutions together!”  Download Social Graphics
  • If you’re using a chatbot, we recommend the following description: “Welcome to my NYE house party on Twitch. Stick around for a midnight celebration in [Eastern Time | Central Time | Mountain Time | Pacific Time | all the North American time zones].”

In the spirit of making this a party hopping experience, we’d love it if you would raid another “Special Events” channel after your celebration is over. Keep the party hoppin’!

As always, be sure to follow Twitch’s Community Guidelines. And please, PLEASE, celebrate responsibly with your communities.
