Announcing the GEICO Gaming Weekly Play-Ins

Starting May 1, GEICO is giving Street Fighter and Tekken players a way to win cash and compete in front of a live audience.

Every Tuesday between May 1 and November 27, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition and Tekken 7 players can compete online to win part of the $1,600 weekly prize pool and earn Gecko Points (GP) toward the Final GEICO Championships and its $15,000 prize pool in December.

Sign-ups will open at 12:01AM PST the morning of each tournament day and will close one hour before the fights begin. Weekly tournaments will alternate between Street Fighter and Tekken, and you can check out the full schedule below.

Qualifiers (online): May 1 — November 27 Final Qualifiers (online): December 1 — December 2 Live Finals: December (Exact date TBD)

When the qualifiers end Nov. 27, the top 16 players with the most GP will advance to a final online playoff from December 1–2 and compete for a spot in the Final GEICO Championships, complete with a live audience, later that month.
