Top Games for August 2015 — CS:GO Strong, H1Z1 on the Rise

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive continues to be a juggernaut in the esports scene, as well as with the general community. CS:GO has maintained a solid grip on the #2 spot for the last seven months and has defused any notion of being a flash [bang] in the pan. Case closed. Have a knife day.

Meanwhile, in a post-apocalyptic alternate reality, H1Z1 is the survival game du jour, clawing it’s way up the chart with many a survivalist enjoying the Battle Royale mode. We’re looking forward to the “H1Z1 Invitational” live from TwitchCon! #ShamelessPlug

How about them Gaming Talk Shows? RocketBeansTV, Dropped Frames (hosted by itmeJP, CohhCarnage, and Ezekiel_III), and Kinda Funny Games — among others — have helped to grow and solidify this category, which has settled into a regular Top 10 position.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III spawned in the #12 spot during its brief Beta period.
