Announcing: Survivor GameZ V
Survivor GameZ, the original deathmatch event on Twitch, returns this Sunday! (February 8th, 2015 at 1pm PST/4pm EST/9pm GMT)
The GameZ brings together gaming personalities, pro gamers, and Twitch celebrities from around the Interwebs to duke it out in the post-apocalyptic world of DayZ. The constant threat of the undead, limited supplies and weapons, and an unforgiving landscape are the least of the competitors’ worries as they must survive each other to claim victory. Hunt and be hunted: this is definitely the most dangerous game!
Where to Watch
Calindel and xSmak will provide commentary on the official SurvivorGameZ Channel. Enhancing the intensity further, each participant will broadcast their own point of view, and you can follow along with each and every competitor from the official Survivor GameZ event page.

Qualifiers and Invitiationals
There are two types of Survivor GameZ events: _Qualifier_s and _Invitational_s. Qualifier events bring together 30 contestants where every man and woman are out for themselves. The overall winner from the Qualifier event will move on to the Invitational Main Event and invite a partner to bring with them into the arena. The Invitational event pits some of the biggest names on Twitch and YouTube against one another in a three-phase deathmatch that spans different land-spaces in the world of Chernarus.
History
Survivor GameZ started in the summer of 2012 on a DayZ mod by a group of rag-tag streamers and fans of the game. The GameZ were an overnight sensation, gaining the attention of the DayZ’s creator, Dean “Rocket” Hall, who has said the GameZ feels like watching the Super Bowl. In mid-2013, the event was put on hiatus in preparation for DayZ Standalone.
