Announcing the Twitch Overwolf App Challenge with $25K in prizes, sponsored by Wickr
We’re teaming up with Overwolf to launch the first ever Twitch App Challenge, sponsored by Wickr. The goal is simple: make awesome PC-based apps that enhance Twitch for both broadcasters and viewers.
Apps are a huge part of the Twitch ecosystem. They make it possible for broadcasters to interact with fans, viewers to be polled, and even for awesome giveaways to happen. If you’re tech savvy and have a keen eye for design, we’re looking to you for the next great app!
Participating in the challenge is simple:
Visit the Twitch App Challenge for rules, dates, and entry.
Integrate the Twitch and Overwolf SDKs into your app.
Submit your app by April 30th, 2015.
Using Overwolf’s platform, you can create overlay apps that run on virtually every PC game out there. These could be apps like:
Polls
Hangtag feeds or battles
Music selectors
Game statistic integrations
Overlays
Chat tie-ins — have your audience draft your deck or choose your load outs
Not a developer, but have an idea of something that should be built? You’re more than welcome to post your ideas and requests for apps.
