This weekend we have the gigantic European championship in IEM Katowice covering the major esports, as well as Final Round 17 and PvP Live: Armageddon to take care of the fighting came and MMO communities!

IEM Katowice Games: Counter Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Hearthstone
At the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship in Katowice, gaming superstars from around the world will compete for a total prize purse of $500,000 across four major esport events.
The event will be held in Poland’s most famous sports and events venue, Spodek, which has attracted 50,000 live fans and 5,000,000 unique viewers to IEM events in the past — with the huge amount of anticipation for Katowice, it is poised to top that and become the most successful European esports event in history.

Final Round 17 Games: Basically every single major fighting game you’ve heard of and even some you haven’t.
The 17th incarnation of one of the most electric and hyped up events in the fighting game community. Held in Atlanta, GA — the event is expected to truly live up to its motto “WHERE HYPE IS BORN” and entertain fans throughout the entire weekend.
A full list of the games can be found below, but suffice to say it has everything from from Curleh Mustache Battle Royal, to the CAPCOM PRO TOUR, to the BEST Tekken competition on planet Earth — according to the event organizers, “Your brain will explode from the great matches you witness at FR17”

PvP Live: Armageddon Games: World of Warcraft
PVP LIVE’s Armageddon Series, which runs all through 2014, will be having an ultimate 3v3 Invitational this weekend. The series is officially licensed by Blizzard Entertainment, allowing them to provide a polished, high-quality event by working with their esports team to tackle — and solve — difficult technical issues that have challenged tournaments in the past.
You will get to not only watch the very top ranked World of Warcraft PvP players battle it out head-to-head, but also be guided through the experience by an extremely experienced broadcast stream. PvP Live is known for having a strong player-centric philosophy geared toward bringing viewers inside the experience so they can learn about the players, chronicle their gaming history and future, as well as simply providing the top notch shoutcast commentary their audience has come to expect.
