diskborsteMC Breaks 30-year-old Missile Command Record

Ars Technica has a great story today on Victor Sandberg, aka Twitch broadcaster diskborsteMC, and his more than 56 hour journey to defeat a 30-year-old Missile Command world record. It took him nearly the entire weekend to amass the 81,796,035 points to topple the record, but thankfully Ars answers the true mystery behind such a feat: how did he find time to, you know, go?

Apparently, he’s been building up extra cities and allowing them to get destroyed whenever he needs to step away from the machine for a moment. Sandberg said he could theoretically take up to a 30 minute break with such a strategy, but prefers to use only four or six minute breaks instead.

Congratulations, Victor! Be sure to follow diskborsteMC on Twitch and take a gander at his world record in the VODs below.
